What’s Happening Now

Working groups comprised of IT and functional staff from across The Claremont Colleges are conducting regular planning sessions focused on a variety of strategic and technical aspects of the project. Preliminary planning for several project initiatives will continue through the current fiscal year.

Draft Project Implementation Plans

On March 1, 2016 The Council of The Claremont Colleges reviewed and approved draft plans for

  1. the formation of a new organization, TCC IT Shared Services, to provide common IT services to The Claremont Colleges, and
  2. a homogenous computing network across The Claremont Colleges

The same plans reviewed by the Presidents are now available here and we encourage you to review these documents (accessible only from The Claremont Colleges’ networks):

  • TCC IT Plan
  • Network Plan

If you have any questions or comments let us know using the “Ask IT@TCC” form on this page.

Unified Technology Solution Project

IT@TCC is the name for the extensive project to provide an updated, single, unified technology solution to serve all institutions within The Claremont Colleges for the following areas:

  • Networking
  • Identity and access management
  • Information security
  • Telephony, which includes telephones, voice mail, fax and other related systems
  • Disaster recovery
  • Data centers

We expect multiple benefits from this collaborative effort that go well beyond cost efficiencies, including process efficiencies, standardization, additional value and career opportunities for employees, talent sharing across traditional boundaries and innovation.

The project is in its initial stages, so please visit this website often as we provide updates on our progress and milestones.
